Welcome to Maid Spin, the personal website of iklone. I write about about otaku culture as well as history, philosophy and mythology.
My interests range from anime & programming to mediaevalism & navigation. Hopefully something on this site will interest you.
I'm a devotee of the late '90s / early '00s era of anime, as well as a steadfast lover of maids. My favourite anime is Mahoromatic. I also love the works of Tomino and old Gainax.

It's that time of year again and Nottingham Anime Society has released this year's Zine. Again we published it in physical copies and again we reached made a record in the zine's length (77 pages).
It's free to read online or download here.
This year I made two articles which I'll post to the blog eventually. One on the director Nabeshin and another short story about a mystical version of Akihabara; these are on pages 14 and 43 respectively.
Thanks to Osu Matt for editing this year's edition, he kept up the great quality we've had for the last several years, along with thanks to Trenchcoat, CammyJFTW, Gundam Ben, Bread Slab, Joe 7, Pineapple, Hyperautist, Fin and Plural Ben for the articles, they are all really good submissions. My particular favourite is "The Glory of Trashy Old OVAs by Gundam Ben. And if you want to read the previous years' Zines you can here, including #10 which was my creation.
