Welcome to Maid Spin, the personal website of iklone. I write about about otaku culture as well as history, philosophy and mythology.
My interests range from anime & programming to mediaevalism & navigation. Hopefully something on this site will interest you.
I'm a devotee of the late '90s / early '00s era of anime, as well as a steadfast lover of maids. My favourite anime is Mahoromatic. I also love the works of Tomino and old Gainax.

Welcome to Maid Spin! This is my website and blog which I use to post articles and projects I am working on. While the theme isn't set, my interests lie in anime and otaku culture; programming projects; and dipping my toes into more philosophical dialogue. I have been running blogs for the last decade, most of which have been backed up on my blogspot account. You can read my old blog archives here, but they're not very good.
Online I go under the name iklone. I am (sometimes) active on /a/ and Twitter, and I was the president on the Nottingham Anime Society in 2019/2020. After university I worked as a web-developer over the pandemic years, and am now a professional mariner (weird career path I know). You can view links to my various accounts in the left side bar. If you would like to contact me please do so through either Twitter or MAL (I'm open to conversations with anyone). Some of my previous projects include:
Here is my 3x3 of favourite anime:
Gundam | Mahoraba | Nadia |
Azumanga Daioh | Mahoromatic | Aria |
Bocchi the Rock | Nausicaa | Hayate no Gotoku |
As for the site itself. I designed and coded it from scratch during the pandemic. Its a simple enough webpage that runs off CSS, JS and AJAX with PHP and SQL on the backend. The source code can be viewed here if you are interested (it's out of date). Other projects of mine can be viewed through my github too.
I hope to write some interesting posts for this new website in the near future. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.
