I'm a devotee of the late '90s / early '00s era of anime, as well as a steadfast lover of maids. My favourite anime is Mahoromatic. I also love the works of Tomino and old Gainax.

Even as my university days are left several years behind me, I'm still good friends with many of the members and so was invited again to write an article this year.

But there are some brilliant articles from other members this year's edition, excellently edited by Gunben. My favourites from those I've read so far are "In Defence of Oreimo" and "Made in Abyss Trigonometry". Bread is Dead made another interesting article about "Anime, Art & Limitation" which I'd also recommend.
